Simon is a passionate Cinematographer with a love of storytelling. Originally from New Zealand, Simon is an accredited member of the New Zealand cinematographers society and a member of the Australian Cinematographers society. He spent most of last year working in Australia on some top notch dramas that received critical acclaim in both Australia and the US. Enticed by the talented and productive film and television industry in Canada, Simon recently moved to Toronto and is looking for new challenges on the local scene.
On set, Simon is described as the ‘calm in the storm’. With 30 years’ experience, he works equally well with both the technical and creative aspects of the job. He especially loves working with directors and actors to capture their intent through blocking, lighting and camera movement. No matter the genre, Simon works to create a consistent look and feel for each project, ensuring beautiful pictures that reflect and enhance the story.
