Vinit Borrison

Vinit Borrison is an award winning Director of Photography who has worked both locally and internationally for over 15 years. Vinit continues to work alongside notable directors and crews who have fostered his extensive experience and expertise in the film industry. His body of work encompasses a variety of genres including Music Videos, Commercials, Documentaries, Television Series, and Feature Films. The rich diversity of this work affirms his versatility as a cinematographer and filmmaker. Vinit has a well-established reputation for leading innovation in camera technology. He is proud to be one of the first in the country to adopt drone technology, lightweight gimbals, and virtual reality/augmented reality cameras, including proprietary systems which he created and designed. With every project, Vinit is constantly pushing boundaries with progressive technologies and adopts innovative and creative techniques resulting in groundbreaking cinematography.

Motivated by new technologies, in 2007 Vinit co-founded REDLAB. It was Canada’s first Digital Post Production Laboratory which was inspired by the introduction of the 4K Red Camera. REDLAB has grown to become a world-renowned comprehensive post-production house with a leading reputation in Toronto’s film industry. REDLAB has had the privilege of working on highly acclaimed projects such as Total Recall (2012), Resident Evil 5 (3D), and Pompeii to name a few. REDLAB prides itself on its commitment to providing and embracing cutting edge technology in the field of post-production.
