Michael Storey began working at Best Films of Toronto as a Film Colour Technician in 1975. He then began working for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in the Film Department as a 2nd Assistant Cameraman, then 1st Assistant, then Camera Operator. At this time he also began lensing documentaries for the CBC. After starting to shoot some film drama, he left the CBC to start an ongoing freelance career as a Director of Photography, shooting television series and movies for Canadian and American television networks, as well as theatrical feature films. Awards include two Gemini Awards, one Canadian Society of Cinematographers Award, and numerous nominations.
