Toronto-based cinematographer Gayle Ye has well over a decade of experience in narrative and documentary projects. Gayle is an award-winning filmmaker with work that has screened internationally at the Cannes Court Metrage. She recently lensed the dramatic feature “You Can Live Forever” produced by Prospector Films and CBC / HBO Max’s “Detention Adventure”.
In 2021, she received the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lighting Direction for her work on the PBS hit show Odd Squad. She is the first woman of colour and youngest person to be nominated and win in this category.
